The measurement of serum anti-PLA2R antibody may be useful for the diagnosis of primary MN in adult patients with nephrotic syndrome. However, this test is not recommended in all cases because it is not approved by the public health insurance. It can be measured when a renal biopsy is contraindicated or difcult to perform.
